Web 2.0

Web 2.0 is about all about user-generated content online. How is it created? What are the best ways to share and collaborate? Web 2.0 tools revolutionize the aspect of easy sharing. There is no need to download. It is truly amazing how accessible technology is.

Personally, I am loving the community tools and presentation tools. I am not currently in my career, but I love that social media is being used to promote library services today. It is an incredible way to engage and motivate patrons. Not to mention, I have really enjoyed blogging throughout this class.

There may be nothing I love more than an engaging presentation. While I have not yet used Prezi formally,  I have tinkered around and I have to say I am quite impressed. This semester I was given the chance to create a non-linear PowerPoint. It revolutionized my opinions about PowerPoint presentations. I was completely unaware of the possibilities of PowerPoint. Master slide, anyone? Mind blown!

Here you can check out an assignment I am quite proud of. It was not for this class, but I utilized the skills learned during this semester to create this project and I absolutely loved the final product. It is a professional development PPT. I chose to complete mine on the creation of an after-school/summer reading program. Something I would absolutely love to do in the future.

I am excited to see how I continue to integrate different technologies into my life as I become closer to being in my profession. This class has given me a tremendous boost on this journey and I know I will continue to integrate the information learned from this class into projects in the future.
